Wild branches

Inspiration:
This is one of my first dynamic and wild botanical paintings from earlier this year. It was a very meaningful moment for me, when I took the courage to put the water onto the paper like there is no tomorrow, and watched the intense, deep colors mix together on the wet surface. I love the effect, as though there was some mist around the wild bushes. It feels soaked, messy and shiny, with dots of light peeking theought the branches. The mood of November, painted in July.

Original watercolor painting on high quality watercolor paper, 21x29 cm. Painting comes unframed.

I add photos of the framed painting in the natural light, so it is easier to picture them in the interior. However, please consider that colors will appear different from screen to screen, they also vary depending on the light setup and will present differently in the frame of your choice :)

Note: As I never waste a sheet of paper, sometimes the other side of the painting may feature splashes of paint or even another painting, one deemed by myself for some reason too imperfect (that’s quite cruel but it happens)
