Fireweed

Inspiration:
Fireweed is one of my favourite subjects. One of the few species I feel perfectly comfortable to paint in all their complexity, without taking a single glance at the reference. I love its presence in real life, as all throughout the summer months, these plants become a dominant accent in mountanous meadows, with their impressive height and eye-cathing fuchsia flowers.

Original watercolor painting on high quality watercolor paper, 21x29 cm. Painting comes unframed.

I add photos of the framed painting in the natural light, so it is easier to picture them in the interior. However, please consider that colors will appear different from screen to screen, they also vary depending on the light setup and will present differently in the frame of your choice :)

Note: As I never waste a sheet of paper, sometimes the other side of the painting may feature splashes of paint or even another painting, one deemed by myself for some reason too imperfect (that’s quite cruel but it happens)
