Fireweed meadow

Inspiration:
Fireweed is one of my favourite subjects. I love its presence in real life, as all throughout the summer months, these plants become a dominant accent in mountanous meadows, with their impressive height and eye-cathing fuchsia flowers. I had at least a few attempts to paint the entire dense composition of these, just the way they look in nature, not a single specimen. The difficulty lays in the subtle complexity of their structure, multiplied by the number of the plants, woven into the intricate fabric of the meadow.

Original watercolor painting on high quality watercolor paper, 21x29 cm. Painting comes unframed.

I add photos of the framed painting in the natural light, so it is easier to picture them in the interior. However, please consider that colors will appear different from screen to screen, they also vary depending on the light setup and will present differently in the frame of your choice :)

Note: As I never waste a sheet of paper, sometimes the other side of the painting may feature splashes of paint or even another painting, one deemed by myself for some reason too imperfect (that’s quite cruel but it happens)
