Hop

Inspiration:

One of my most recent works, painted with ease in my new style developed over the past year. It was inspired by hop vines, which in September reach their peak, climbing trees and adorning bushes. I painted several versions of this branch, which I discovered during an evening bike ride through the forest. I love the texture of its dry leaves, contrasted with the shapes and fresh colors of the hop cones.

Original watercolor painting on high quality watercolor paper, 21x29 cm. Painting comes unframed.

I add photos of the framed painting in the natural light, so it is easier to picture them in the interior. However, please consider that colors will appear different from screen to screen, they also vary depending on the light setup and will present differently in the frame of your choice :)

Note: As I never waste a sheet of paper, sometimes the other side of the painting may feature splashes of paint or even another painting, one deemed by myself for some reason too imperfect (that’s quite cruel but it happens)
